Voluntary Music is a project within Association Building Community that is in search of the most that music has to offer and combines professional musicianship with relational sustainability. The object is producing the highest quality music with the greatest cultural longevity possible.
Every album is an experiemt in style - from the process of relating during the production to the history-making release and touring. Each is presented under a different band name as the membership of the project changes.
Each member of the project over time has one share in the money made on the entire project for each time they make "a significant contribution" as voted by the existing members of the current project. For example, if you are a percussionist on the first album and the fifth but the project makes ten albums you have 2 shares of the entire project's net for all ten albums.
Thus it pays for everyone ever involved to work toward the success of the project as a whole, even if you are not a "significant contributor" to the current album.
Each album will be released with free tracks through alternative media chanels rather than supporting the inequities in the music industry. Any sustainable alternative may be considered by the voting musicians and technicians on a given band/album. Previous participants in other projects may always have a voice but will not have a vote unless their current contribution becomes significant.
